This is a maintenance release with new data.
I am pleased to announce a new release of the OpenICC-data ICC profiles package. The package is polished and improves upon previous releases.

The 1.1.0 is a maintenance release. ICC profile data has partitial changed. The package relies now on basICColor_Offset_2009 for default Cmyk print
profiles. They are of very good quality. Gray profiles are modified and fixed.

The OpenICC Data package covers a range of ICC profiles for many basic usage scenarios. It is intended as a common set of colour management data among distributions and projects in oder to reduce the amount of download space for each project.

Contained are ICC profiles for internet, photo editing, ICC PCS profiles, 3D compositing and more. Standard printing conditions are described by characterisation data from FOGRA and NPES to easily create own custom profiles.

Licensing is zlib/libpng compatible and thus OSI approved.

  • [data]: remove printing profiles, this reduces conflicts with
faked printing profiles from Oyranos distributed through Fedora
  • [build]: reference basICColor_Offset_2009-1.0.0.tar.bz2 profiles
  • [docu]: update AUTHORS, README and ChangeLog
  • [data]: fix url string in Gray* profiles
  • [data]: rename Gray(.icc) to Gray_linear(.icc)

The Cmyk print profile ISOcoated_v2_bas.icc is the equivilent to the former coated_FOGRA39L_argl.icc and is recommended as the default Cmyk color space for untagged data and for separation.
